Calapsing stack nor converting to poly works on path deform?

I Lathed a line so it looks like a tube with a flange, connected to add segments, put it on a path deform (instead of a Bend) and tried to collapse the stack, the Path Deform Binding wasn't collapsed with it. I also tried to convert it to a poly but still it's influenced by the path when I move it. How do I convert the thing so it's a plane ole poly object?

When I Move to Path it reverts to a straight tube again

could take a snapshot of it
[edit] it's in tools on the top line menu- should create another version of what you have selected- but an edit poly or mesh
