so what did you order? and don't let physx affect your decision, especially if your on madx 2010. 2010's gotta use physx 2.0 which sucks like no tomorrow...... you can't have concave shapes! which ruins the whole voronoi cell then physx thing i usually did...

OK. test render:

Old machine- render time = 8:45 AMD +5000 dual core
New machine- render time =2:34 Intel Core i7 920

That's 3.62 times faster. Plus I can still use the computer during render which I couldn't do before.

That's all. Go back to what you were doing.

now thats money well spent my friend. The time it will save you on renders will probably save you enough money to pay for itself in the next year or two, depending on how much work you do.
