Broken tech seems to heal itself?? Anyone else had this happen?
Some of you might remember my computer breaking down thread a while ago. Well thats in the repair shop taking bloody ages to fix costing me $$$!
So I also mentioned breaking my old computer at the same time by frying the motherboard putting in the wrong memory. Now this mobo was truly busted. I tried everything and the dam thing didnt want to display a picture. So I gave up and buried it in the cupboard of the dead.
So I decide to try and send the thing back to msi on the off-chance they will send me a new one (even though its 5 years old) I figure I plug the cables in and switch it on... everything works!?!? dammit! now I'm thinking the same thing may have been the case with my other pc as it had the same problem as this...doh!!
The wierd thing was that I had an ipod that was truly broke some time ago, it was litteraly a brick and apple wanted to charge me £120 to fix it and the dam thing cost £300! After leaving it in my draw for two years I was about to throw it in the dust bin when I thought "I'll give it a try" and the bloody thing works!
They say time is the greatest healer.. guess this applies to machines! Anyone else's machines miraculousely risen from the dead?

See 'loose connection', 'dodgy cable'' or 'dry joint' (no BLoSk not that type).

All cables were secure when I tried fixing the pc and dry joint requires repair work to the suspected soldered area.
Bear in mind I did absolutely nothing but plug them in after storing them in dark dry places for a while.

In that case, inter-dimensional beings crossed into our universe and fixed your equipment.

My other half has the kiss of life for tech things. His friends call him Dr Daz.
Things have been broke at peoples houses. They take it all apart bring it here turn it on. Fine or he touches the box.Or he fiddles one cable. But seriously he has fixed some disasters, one friends house flooded he came down in the morning to find his pc bobbing on top of 4ft of dirty water..ew. He's salvaged work off damaged drives, fixed mixing desks worth a small house, rescued musicians on stage with faulty equip. Tech stuff loves him!

I smoked my kneecap one day when I was out of joints and wanted to get high.
Sorry that was really lame humor lol. AS made me do it.
I've had my share of magical equipment over the years, but some of them seemed to be caused by loose soldering joints or the like. (No AS NOT the marihuana cigarette ones)

missy is married to a nanite replicator?
He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

It's always been like that. Look at those repair shops. They just store your things on dusty shelves for a couple of months. And that's it.

My pc at home refused to boot a cople of months ago : he couldn't find the boot disk. The next day it just worked again, and haven't had any problems since.

My other halfs profession is an electronic engineer but he is a programmer too now He went back to college to do programming and left with OVER a 100% pass rate :/ (yeah I know it doesn't seem feasible but he showed more than one way of working things out and they give you marks for that, I saw the certificate etc)
His tutor phoned him after he left and asked him to tke his place lol. I think his title in techy world is a mechatronic engineer!
half the time he doesn't even need to take a cover off anything though. He is good....He's still a pain in the arse though! lol
