Top/Bottom Material gives my fat nipples.

Should this be happening ?

I have fat cells protruding from the hyper-dermis, I'm using a top / bottom in the local axis, but I can't get rid of the nipples on the fat cells.
Changing the blend and/or position above a certain point makes the bottom material fade through.

Maybe the top/bottom is no good with curved surfaces ?

It's not a uvmapping problem is it? Else, I dunno, would need to see the material setup for the gradients (or whatever you're using).

nope, UVmap affects the materials but not the distribution.

No gradients, just texture on top and material on bottom.

I haven't used a top/down material but from your settings and the material ball it looks like you're getting exactly what you asked for: top material (red one) for top 10% and bottom material (yellow one) for the rest.

yup, I won't dwell, I'll go the vertex paint / blend map route, strange this doesn't work tho'
