Bottles in Window [WIP]
Working on modeling this picture I found online. (Photograph below)
Here is what I have so far...
Lighting etc. below...
Renderer: Mental Ray
Lights: 1 Mental Daylight System and 3 mr omni lights
Fairly new to Max. Used chamfer cylinders, boolean, some vertex editing, and turbo smooth (prob. a bad idea in retrospect, have too many triangles)
Proportions aren't exactly right, been using safe frame and judging it based on looks.
Not sure how to do the inside contents of the jars. Shell modifier perhaps?
Any crit. / suggestions welcome, especially texture and lighting ideas. (Not final textures seen in picture)

Joey Parker Jr.
The easiest way to make jars(and knobs) is to create a spline and use the lathe modifier.
Lots of tutorials out there that show how to do this. Also, explained in the tuts that come with
Max like the chess pieces. This technique will also pay off when you apply the glass texture.

For a second I was blown. I thought the first picture is 3d.
Anyways, nice start. Keep it up
