I am not asking for someone to do it for me, I don't know the software or what to explain. I uploaded my file so someone could look at it and see what I am doing wrong and tell me. I don't expect people to fix it for me nor would I accept a fixed file. If people do stuff for me I learn nothing. That's why it says, "If you want to see my file here it is" not "fix this for me".

However I will put up some pictures or make a video of the problem.

I made a video showing off some of my problems. I must warn you that a bit of my problems might be user error.

You need to create handles (control objects) to control your rig.

Check out "CGAcademy" vids on youtube. Here's one setting up the leg:




Also might be a good idea to make your model see-through and frozen as you shouldn't be moving it at all, only the bones / control objects.

P.S. You need to set up bones for the face rig.

Can't open the Max file. I'm assuming it's saved in v2013.

One thing I wanted to look at, was whether or not this was just an ordinary minecraft character, in which case you wouldn't need bones at all, just a hierarchy and (optional) constraints.

with that video I can see your problem.
your rig is not complete and you are not controlling it properly.

once you set up your rig, you are not supposed to touch the mesh, use the bones for the animation (( exception here with your facial rig which I think doesn't have bones, you have to link that pieces to the head in order for they to follow

the problem with the body is that you need a spline guide on the bottom of your character as a whole body controller, you link the highest parent of each bone strand of your rig to that spline and if you want to move your character you move that spline.

gogodr is right on the money, I've got a little jing video that shows you what you need to do. No audio, and it's not aimed directly at helping you... just happens to coincide:

Basically, at the 3 minute mark I hide my skeleton (after linking my splines to the hierarchy). So now, the splines are my control objects, and thus the "top level" controllers that gogodr was talking about. Which means all I do, is select them all, and then link them to another spline (on the floor).

You could of course not have spline controllers, but you will need to link the top-level bones to a spline/dummy in order to move everything at once. I prefer many spline control objects though, as it means I don't have to deal with the skeleton at all after the rig is complete.
