Not looking too real at the moment. Colours seem way off from the bg. Also, the perspective of the plane looks funny, like its not line up with the runway. The wheels are really looking strange too.

Wheels and undercarriage look too... self illuminated.
The blown out white.
Oversaturated blue.
Non transparent windows, are the things that 'stck out' to me.
It doesn't suck, but deffo needs some tweaking

Try using the daylight system or photometric lights at least.
also, render out separate elements and you'll have better control in PS.

I used standard lights with the light tracer to render out the plane in passes. First time putting the passes together in photoshop. Will take your advice and re-render using the daylight system.

I think the shadow is too strong. It looks like a cloudy day and you can see from the far mountains that the airport is under the shadow of a cloud. :)

It doesn't look weathered enough, and as it's on the runway I feel like it should be taking off, but I don't sense any movement in this picture.

you sure the scale is correct?
717 wingspan is around 28.5 meters
that runway doesn't look that wide to me- maybe 20 meters or so

in the original post your shadow is on the wrong side. the sun is clearly on the left, and so is the shadow. the clouds may be tricking me though.

Hey Poop, your link has an unnecessary quotation mark at the end. :)

Good ref btw.

The model looks good. Poop is right though, maybe down the reflectivity.
