Pretty great!

Are you watching, Autoderp? This is free software.

Pick your game up.

I almost made a fake MF account called "Autoderp" to hassle you Nik, but I figured Spoon wouldn't want me making a mockery of his system. haha

That looks really cool! I should look into Blender some to see where it's at. It has been a while since I played with it. I couldn't stand how the virtual space was navigated from what I remember. It pissed me off (this was years ago though).

Thanks for sharing.

They gotta work on that Nolan horn sound thing. Very B-grade. As for the molecules... A-grade.

Yeah, pretty cool. But still voxel/particle based. Update the thread when they have something more akin to RayFire. Oh, and a useable GUI. And maybe some intuitive camera controls.

Is there a surfacing/meshing solution around for Blender that`d work with these?

ScotlandDave,
I agree. Something like blobmesh would be cool to mix with this

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

LOL at that idea. I tried a while back to garner some kind of support for a complete UI/keyboard layout overhaul here and on various Blender forums. Met with nothing but hate and vitriol from the shut-in fuckwits that programmed the godawful thing to begin with.

Blender: The Linux of 3d apps. Open for anyone to use, as long as you're a programmer and think like we do and conform to our ideas of how you should work and fuck you if you don't like it. But it's open!

Good software ruined by programmers. Happens a lot, especially in FOSS.

That was my sentiment years back as well BM,
I however found they improved things ' a lot ' in these last versions.
Blender is now a valid production tool offering things other apps don't, in my opinion.

If i could sit down with a Blender user and spend a couple of hours asking questions, I think I could use it for a lot of my work.

I don't know why, but I still struggle with Blender's interface. Perhaps I'm an old dog that can't learn.

Yeah, I'm still struggling, but I'm determined to keep trying.

This looks like it could be good.

Have you tried 2.6 Nik? Seems better than pre 2.5 releases UI wise.

Not yet Lee, but I think it's almost that time of year again for me to give it a whirl.
