Bitmaps looking absolutely terrible.

Hey guys, I am rather new to 3ds max and I am encountering a bitmap problem. When I load the bitmap it is extremely pixelated and I can barely make it out, anyone know the issue? Thanks.

When you load it where? As a texture? A background image?

Sorry for this bump but these pixelated background images are getting really annoying, anyone know the issue? Could it be my driver selection? Thanks.

Sorry, would have replied but I forgot how to set this up. Just did a quick google search for setting up bitmaps in the viewport. Here's the answer:

Enable Customize->Preferences->Viewport->Configure Drive->Match Bitmap Size as Closely as Possible, and restart Max.

[edit] Just checked it for 2012 and I think they've changed it around. Probably due to nitros.

Thanks for the reply, is enable customize an option under the customize tab? I can't find where to begin. (I'm using max 8)

Edit: Found it, thanks so much! :D

Yep, here's more detail:

Customize (top menu) -> preferences... (bottom selection) -> viewports (3rd tab) -> configure driver (at the bottom).

[edit] No problem.

[edit] You probably know this but you'll have to restart max for it to work.
