Birthday presents!
show user profile  Mr_Stabby
I must admit i'm terrible at remembering dates, sometimes i have hard time remembering when i was born even.. unfortunately for my little sister i've forgotten about her birthday 4 years in a row now and always ended up getting her something crappy on the last minute.

This year its going to be different! i have 3 days to prepare an awesome birthday present that would totally make up for all the ones that sucked and probably more to come in the future. Now that i started getting into it i realized i don't know a whole lot about her, heres what i do know:
- Shes turning 15 or 16, judging by her height should be one of these.
- She has a boyfriend that has long hair and is in a band nobody has heard of
- She used to play piano and guitar but lost interest i think
- Shes still going to the elite school i got kicked out of so she must be smart!
- Her musical taste is um not sure, one time i swear i heard ozzy's crazy train coming from her room all day long, most of the time though its top 40
- She likes to draw stuff
- She cant draw

thats it really,i was thinking maybe get her a tablet so maybe the undo button will help her doodle better or like a collection of rehab brochures for when her boyfriend crashes, any suggestions?

Always good to know a price range but if your thinking tablet go with that.
Who wouldn't like a tablet?
Maybe throw the rehab brochures in with the card?

mad idea, ask her.

sure, everyone loves nice surprises but she'd probably rather have something she wants.

The intuos4 small fits your budget and the bamboo is even less.

i would totally do that but it would look much cooler if i came up with something awesome by myself and from experience gifts that you didn't originally want can be the bestest! (i got my first guitar when i turned 12, best gift ever)

a box of fruit to throw at traffic or is that only a male pastime in estonia ?

maybe some wheels - a second hand 50cc scooter or similar ?

she has a car :/ all though she could use the scooter to get away from the police through narrow alleys

and yes throwing fruit is reserved only for the ones with chest hair

The Wacom Inkling... has anyone suggested that yet? And what is the deal with girls always wanting to date people in bands? It never ends well.

ROFL......................That made me chuckle Joey. I Heard it in HAL's voice in my head :) Tickled me that :)

On the present front, the Inkling does look nice. On the present front, you could get your sister a wacom bamboo and an inkling maybe, not sure about the prices though. That way, she has the best of both worlds, can doodle on a pad, then adjust / correct / couour it in photoshop or the like. :)

Perfect. Think its very cool of you to Mr Stabby !! Nice sentiment, she'll love the thought :)

It would be funny if you had mixed up the dates and given your sister her birthday present on your mothers birthday. :D
