Why can't I link helpers to the biped? What are you guys using to make the bip object move? I mean, besides selecting a part of it and then moving it?

The biped is a pre-defined rig, all setup and ready to go... if you want to "change" it to suit your own needs... perhaps this will be of use:

"I flew over Egypt once"

Only the piece called Bip001 wich is hidden in the pelvis (usually called Bip001 Pelvis) can be attached to another object and make the biped to actually follow it since that is the master piece of the biped. Is that what we're talking about?

Ok, the tutorial is awesome. Simply put, you can't use controllers when using biped, right?
Then, you've got this rigged mesh with IK and all good stuff. Is there a way to load again bip files, after that?

Yes. You can load a BIP animation to your biped aferwards. This should not affect the movement of the parent (often called MASTER) and if it did not suit your expectation exactly you can stll adjust the CoG's movement to give that final detail needed
