it's one of those films of many on my 'i know i really should have but i still haven't watched it' list : /

looking pretty spot on so far though, my only tiny crits would be checking your loops for the cheeklines and brow if you wanted to animate but it's no biggie, especially if you're not wanting to ; )

Triplettes de Belleville, Les (2003) is the official title. i own it. it's a VERY odd movie with almost no dialogue. i'll have to check it out again just to see why i didnt like it last time. :)

it could be downloaded if you search on torrent sites.

It's such a strange film, really, but I enjoyed it alot while watching. It was fun to watch programs on the telly where they said stuff like "It's nice to have a film without any CG in it." I mean, almost half the movie was CG (ok, perhaps not half, but a rather big part).

holly obscure animation
good stuff though
great character, two small nits
the kink in his nose is more discernable in the ref
yours is too smooth
and he does have a lower lip, it is puny and pathetic but there
almost like he is constantly chewing it
your chin is straight and smooth
great ear
hair looks good too
hey does the crease of your mouth end in a single edge?
personally i say chamfer it
animates better
somebody here showed me that
it was either piggie or hatetank i don't remember which
my two cents
"My heart and my soul are not for sale at any price, but you can have my rage and venom for free."

looking good, just get that definition of muscle down, and yes, very stragely proportioned.

Sorry I forgot to reply to your comments...

peet: thanks for the crits, very helpful as usual :o) Only thing is im not going for an animation on this, well not facial animation anyway, I may just do a loop of Champion riding his bike, but I'll look into the cheek and brow loops for my next model, this one is a vast improvement on my last facial models so im definitely improving

horizon: umm, check P357's reply.

P357: I think that must the official title for other countries as Ive got the DVD and although Ive heard of that other title its definitely called Belleville rendez-vous on the cover, ah well, not that it matters :)

Undersky: Yeah there is a lot of CG in it but the the eyes of people not that experienced in how CG looks it does look primarily hand drawn. As I said before I absolutely love this movie and its quirkyness

feral: ever the helpful one :o) I'll have to sort out that kink before I attach it to the body, and i never noticed that puny lower lip, good eyes :o) Im not too sure what you mean by "does the crease of your mouth end in a single edge" eh? care to elborate, do you mean the lip line or the point where the top lip meets the bottom lip? either way as I said in peets reply im not animating the head but Im always looking for improvement

Poopsmith: thanks poopy, yeah im doing the calf muscles at thte moment, having a little trouble getting them to look completely right, probably because the rules of 2D doent always translate to 3D that well so I may have to compromise there.

uplate: he sure does! hehe. thanks for the comment, the singing girls heh? not sure, Im definitely going to Bruno the dog (grown up as opposed to puppy) and Madame Souza the nan.

All of this presuming I dont get too bored with project as Im not the fasted worker yet, as I proved to myself with my goobali project, it just went on too long and I cut the animation very short.

killerbee2: cheers dude, Wow what parts did they work on?

Jetkon: Thanks mate, more updatyes coming soon, definiing the muscles and clothing at the moment.
