Beer Bottle
show user profile  adammichell
Been playing around with a beer bottle, still working on it but would be good to get some feedback. Must say thanks to Ross for some earlier advice.

Looks great. Only crit, maybe move the back-light slightly off center.

Looks pretty good, I like the droplets. Are they maybe to small? (just a hunch, haven't looked up any photos).

And I think I agree with the idea of moving the light off center, might look better, might not. But I'd give it a try :)

Not sure the pure black background is doing you many favours either.

pretty nice, Though i agree with some of the comments above.

-move the back light off center just a bit
-the bottle looks like its filled with foam
-the droplets/bubbles go to high up the neck
-black bg isnt helping anything

otherwise lookin good, keep workin on it.

Cheers guys. Had a bit of an update, need to play around with the lighting still.

Not so keen on the highlights in the middle of the bottle.
Changed the lighting to the right and the studio I'm doing it for want to keep it in the middle...bummer.
Enlarged some of the droplets.

Somethings not right, but can't decide what it is.

Maybe the liquid inside the bottles looks too translucent? It almost seems that the bottles are empty.

Also, if you want that added touch you could have one or two droplets running down the bottles.

Also, have you considered putting a cap on them? I assume, though, it's probably not in your brief.

I like your way of playing with beer bottles. These bottles can also be used for a general game that is Truth and Dare. This seems a good game to play with a beer bottle.

Great work, but somehow it looks like an image of a bottle in front of a white background that was put in front of a black background. I don't really know how else to put it. The bottle just doesn't seem transparent at all to me.

They don't fill beer bottles all the way to the top. where does the liquid end? speaking of which... where is the cap? Also i think the droplets are to large on the outside of the bottle now. as for background what about a shadded ramp in the bg? Maybe a little DOF?

these have great potential... a bit more work and you could have some stunning images.

what rendering system are you using?
