Basic question about UV Mapping....

So this is going to sound like a bad joke, but I'm stumped on something that seems like it would be very basic..

So I unwrapped an object and collapsed the UVs into it. I didn't want to use that for the bump so I made a UVW Map - Box and put it as map channel 2.. Then on the bump map I switched it to Map Channel 2 under Explicit Map Channel, but in the Viewport the bump is still being being previewed as following the collapsed UV map... wtf?

Shouldn't it follow the coinciding Explicit Map Channel?

Knowing max I wouldn't be surprised if the Viewport only supported 1 map channel, render should be fine.

Bingo..... It works correctly with the checkered procedural I was testing with, but is all wonkey with the noise procedural map... I was scratching my head for an hour, should of just rendered it. Thanks 3Ddeath!

Wow... Just not having a fun time with 3ds 2014 atm... Now the drop down menus don't seem to want to.. drop down... ffs.

wow, wtf, i've never seen that before!

I really wish they would fix a lot of weirdness u could get in unwrap instead of making new useless features like the egg spline primitive.
