avi output at high resolutions on max 9 chuuuuug
show user profile  N3uromancer
i never really had any trouble with max 8 but with 9 my avi output files from max run at about 1 second per 5 seconds, therefore i can't really see how the clip looks when i do test renders. anyone else run into this problem or might anyone have a solution? i've looked in the settings and can't see anything that would cause it to do this, so i'm stumped.

You video is probably rendering as "Uncompressed" and your computer can't play it back smoothly. If you're going to go the AVI route make sure you're using a codec like cinepak or something before you render or you'll need to compress it after the fact. Get streamclip and try to compress it:http://www.squared5.com/
