[AutoCAD] Input value from mathematical expressions?
show user profile  Nanne
Mr. G or any other AutoCAD genious around here - I have a question for you.

When I input a value for e.g. the leanght of a line (or whatever) is there a way to enter a mathematical expression instead of just a numerical value. Let's say I know that the line should be 3.5 times 2.75 and I don't want to calculate that in my head or with the calculator, can't AutoCAD do it for me? Like in MS Excel: by typing "=3.5*2.75" in a cell Excel performs the mathematics for me and displays the value of 9.625. And in 3ds max you can select an input field and press Ctrl+N the Numerical Expression Evaluator pops up and let you enter en expression to calulate the final input value - if 3ds has it AutoCAD should have it, if you ask me :)

Well, any suggestions? :)

Thanks Kajico but what they say there does not work for me for some strange reason. I'm using AutoCAD 2008 so it should work, 2006 and higher it says.
