Auto fix normals?
show user profile  ChazZeromus
Hello, I'm modeling a basic house and for the frames for my windows I used simple inset and face exertion method. After doing this I realize my normals are not perpendicular to the rectangular edges and that they're sort of at an uneven angle. Since this is on such a basic object, is there to automatically fix this? I made alot of windows and I don't want to sit there and rotate all of them :(

If the normals are not flipped in the opposite direction, are you talking about smoothing problems (caused by vertex normals). If so, select all polygons and play with the auto smooth option and it's threshold.

If the windows are identical, you should have used instance instead of copy, so keep that in mind in the future

What if i don't want smoothing though? These corners need to be hard and straight man. Also I was planning on each window have an individual design, but I should have made them copies anyways.
