Augmented Reality have you tried it?

This has been around for a while, I haven't yet tried this plug in for max, but I might give it a go. Anyone used it yet ?

lol, i installed the trial I dont think you need to set up a license. But having said that this plugin is no where to be seen inside of Max

I think you are right about the licence. I'll look in maxscript, thanks for the feedback, I need to stick to mask making

That looks pretty good, and the tracking seems tight. May have a play.

Any tips to get this set up?

very easy to set up

download the demo and install it.

printout the marker , it's in programfiles\ARPlugin2.1(TRIAL)Max\docs

there are a few , use marker_armedia.pdf

Ignore the stuff about your licence.

open a scene with your model in it, it supports standard materials and opacity etc

Go into maxscript and select the plugin from the drop down list

you get the "view in augmented reality" button, or select it from the plugin rollout

you only get 30 seconds to view in the demo version, and it wont allow export or multiple markers.

still it's fun as hell.

If your webcam looses site of the marker , you loose the model.





this is a nice application for a game



but I want to do the chess game from starwars :)
