ARNOLD HAS THE BLUES
show user profile  LongTimeNoSee
Just learning Arnold. Does anyone know why, when you turn on the background colored checker pattern for the sample slot, it cast a blue hue over the sample sphere?

I thought that maybe the blue checkers are more strongly reflected on the surface than other colors but there is no way it would be so much as the strong hue of blue that I see on the material samples.

Does it act as a "skylight" when you use this option. That might explain it.

I don't see why it would. There aren't any lights applied yet to the scene.
