Archibase imports
show user profile  Jeddi
Hey!
Am having a problem with some imports I have from Archibase.net. I can't seem to get any textures on my objects once they are in my scene. They are just grey and dull. I can;t ungroup them which makes it impossible to add any materials to them What can I do?

Convert to editable poly (rt click on object > convert to).
In polygon mode select the polies you want to be seperate and use 'detach'.
If you want materials to show in the viewport click on the little checkered cube near the top of the material editor.

Thanks Markoid. I was thinking of that but isn't there an easier method coz that method is kinda hard (more of time consuming)? Especially if you are working with objects that are small and detailed.

You can try selecting by material ID's. Poly mode scroll down 'select ID'.
Also maybe try seelcting by element in the stack.
I thought they were maybe some weird import type but they may have retained something usable if they are .3ds

Thanks again! I found a way..select the model and convert to editable poly. Select element on the scroll list. Then apply textures accordingly.
