Arch-Viz doodles
show user profile  rob@dynamic
Hi all, how is everyone?

long time no post:-( so thought I'd share some Arch-Viz doodles from parts of my lunch breaks and my very limited free time at home that I've been working on.

Pretty basic scene really, was just done to pass some time and practise my lighting and rendering.

There's a few thing I'm still going to change/add but any comments and crits would be great.

Thanks

Hey mate, long time no see :)

Such a massive improvement. Don't mean that in a nasty way, I can't get my head around composition, camera set up, materials, lighting etc.... You've clearly decided to thrive in this instead of doing cars... :) Good on ya, not sure we need another Bolts around here..... hehe

Hi mate, yup, great doodles to practise with - excellent lighting, materials and compositions. Take this in a good way, but what happened since you got employed? - Your imagery has jumped to the next level!

i really like it, i love the colours

- if i had to throw in my noob 2 cents though, my one question is the height of the back of the settee and the print on the wall - going by the size of the bottle on the floor its really low, and if a human sat on it, it would be horrible - maybe your going by a particular design though, so it should be like that, i dont know, but it looks uncomfortable. if they then leaned their head back im sure they would touch the print on the wall with the top of their head?

Beautiful set of renderings mate. Truly nice. Saw this on fb last night, but wanted to reply on the old crazy forum :P

Those frames on the wall next to the window, remove the right away.

Hey Rob - glad to see you've not forgotten your roots ;)

As others have said - I like the composition and colour a great deal. The quality of light and the softness in the renders is great!

Is this a vray jobbie? I'm assuming so. I have to say that since I started with vray its taken my rendering up a notch and I think it did the same for your work too.

Cheers,
Mike

thanks for all the kind comments guys and girls.

Feel like I've learnt so much in the past 6 months since starting the new job, and am loving using Max all day every day. I wish I could post some of our work here, as we've been doing some really amazing stuff recently.

We have a new website going live in the next few weeks that will showcase some of what we've been working on.

Here's a little update from over night:
I wanted to bring in the right hand wall to give some symmetry to the image. However I'm not overly happy with it. What do you think, better or worse?

I think I'm going to change the wall paper regardless of whether I keep the right hand wall as it is.

thanks again,for all the comments:-)

These are the renders I'd be making if I didn't suck.

Stunning work.
