yea dylock i did follow that tut to start with it has helped me a lot but it was a different car so i only did the wheel arch, and westcoast, not everyone can make perfect scenes to start with, i am just tring different ways to learn.

One major thing to understand about tutorials, is that they are only guidelines... used to teach newcomers the tools of the trade, and showing them the possiblities of those tools. Just because there is no specific tutorial for the car you want to model, does not mean all the other car tutorials are a waste of time.

Yeah what Dave said. You should run through that car tutorial all the way through and understand the concepts first, before trying to model a different car.

Hold your horses mate. I followed a tutorial to modelling a nissan and came out with my lamborghini. You MUST follow tutorials and listen to the advice these people give you. Thats the best way to learn.
