Alex Roman - From Bits to the Lens - anyone?
show user profile  9krausec
He is having a 50% off sale and I'm thinking about picking it up. Has anyone purchased a copy of this book? Good read? I get the feeling it's full of a bunch of renders and probably light on information.

Anyway, would anyone recommend this book here by chance?

Thanks for posting. Didn't know that it was on sale! Seems to have a decent amount of info from the description.

Sounds like a plan! I've been eye-balling this book for a while. The Third and the Seventh is perhaps one of my most favorite 3D pieces of all time.

The materials are amazing too. I think I'll go ahead and splurge. Well we are on the topic, anyone subscribe to 3D World Magazine? That was another thing I've been debating on for a few years on getting a subscription too.

I'm probably on my 5th bottle of Leffe, meaning the inspiration of spending my hard earned dosh comes that much easier. £35 or so? Easy come easy go i suppose :)

Decided against it due to postage costs. Cannot justify it for that much which is lame cause I was excited. Haha.

Mine was like 36 Euro. Nearly the cost of the book on sale! Too bad, it looked like a really cool book. Shipping is expensive.
