Affordable 3D Printing!
show user profile  cbflex
My friend was telling me that i should look into getting a 3D Printer, and I did but they cost like around $20K!

But! I did some more research and I found this site that does it for you for affordable prices! You can also sell your designs for others to print them as gifts! Now you can make that gift for your mom or girlfriend that they've always wanted! Make any jewelry, any design, anything!
This is like ultimate sculpting!

Nice one.

Been looking at this one for some time, but yours seems to have more materials, but the weird thing is the pricing on the materials they both have seem to be identical

Same supplier? Or same company altogether?

I looked at these guys a while ago. Wish I could afford to get some of my stuff printed in that steel material they do.

Yes Nik, like those nice nipple clamps you designed.

Yup. They would have been perfect. In reflection, the design was a little sharp, and way too bulky. Still, I can but dream.

I guess a 30 x 15 x 15 is going to be too expensive then....

i found this some days back...3d print many other materials
Interesting are the prices on these...

"2 by 2 by 4cm with a volume of 1 cubic centimeter would be 93 Euros ($124)" for titanium that is!!!

I wasn't saying that they don't, although i sort of doubt it, selective laser sintering is a rather fickle way to do things. what i was saying was that if you could get SLS working on a reprap, the price for metal (or anything that can be powdered and subsequently melted) prints becomes the price per pound plus a few pennies in electricity.

unfortunately printing anything large or particularly three dimensional with SLS on a reprap hasn't been done yet.
