Annoying AE problem - Guru required..
show user profile  soontekk
Hey peeps,

Been learning some more AE and i have landed in the obscure world of 3D faking (who'd thought..)

Everyone seems to tell me i should rotate, scale using the shift snap so my planes in a 3D layer snap every 45 degrees.

My AE cs4 doesn't do it, instead it draws a selection field and doesn't select anything either.
I tried other keys, other comps yes even ae on my laptop :/

Been searching for some hours now and getting annoyed to say the least.
The AE helpfiles is helping me getting more frustrated..

Any ideas or real help greatly welcomed

You need to begin the rotation then hold shift to snap. ;)

Tek...
Everyone has their preference,....but I find that moving/rotating IN the viewport gets very cumbersome.
I prefer working in the timeline, using hotkeys and entering values for the position/rotation..etc..etc.
Can get quite fast doing this.
