[Adobe Premiere] Automatically slid Clip B when changing duration of Clip A?
show user profile  Nanne
I'm doing Time Remapping on Clip A because I need it to be slower, and by doing so the clip, of coarse, gets longer. The problem is that is doesn't "push" Clip B that is attached directly after Clip A, adjusting the entire time line to the changes, Clip A simply gets trimmed. So then I have to move Clip B out of the way first, manually, but by doing this I lose the transition effect I already set up between the clips. So every time I need to tweak the Time Remap, testing it back and forth, I have to reapply the transition effect?! And not to mention, manually move around Clip C, D, E, F, G... etc. to fit the new time line, isn't there a better way of doing this?

Final Cut Pro X has got something called "Magnetic Time Line", but is this some new cool feature that Adobe never though of?

I do not have Premiere open ATM...and havent used it for awhile.
BUT...I can tell you that Premiere does doe this,.....its pretty much a really basic editing option.
You are either sliding or cutting.......it has done this since prolly '95 if I remember.....

Just not sure how to enable/disable which mode you are in.
Sorry....
