Adjust the hair color in render

Hi! I insert the character with black hair with the Hair and Flur modifier, but when rendering turns to gray color. What could be wrong?

every color is relative to how much light is hitting it and at what criteria it was captured at, you are probably either overlighting it or the blocky specularity caused by low sampling is going nuts, both common occurrences with default h&f implementation

by default h&f uses a buffer scanline style renderer which is no good, it completely ignores most finer aspects of scene light setup, i much recommend you to switch over to mr prim if you are using MR or vray, if you aren't its time to start.

next whats wrong is the built in h&f material has way too high specularity by default, has wrong bdrf curve for human hair and lacks anisotropy, you can fix this by sticking a&d material in the mr shader slot and using that instead. something along the lines of ior 1.55, reflectivity 0.6, glossiness 0.5, anisotropy 0.02, anisotropy rotation 0.45 are good for dark hair. highlights+fg only is recommended for tolerable render times, and small amounts of translucency is great for improving the looks at low sampling settings.

if this is too complicated there are step by step instructions for every word in max help file.

I got it. The camera is below of the character locking to up, soso in front. and make the color change to gray. And I'm using the default render options, to keep the basic render process.
I will check the light to fix so. Thanks for the help!
