really liking that arm thingy, has a good feel to it. nice work keeping it simple and still making it look good man.

[edit] texturing on the desert floor is pretty cool, but I think the cracks are a bit too wide/dark. Did ya use disp.?

Nice works Soontekk, congrats. I also like the 1st one the most, so you may consider switching the order in your post for dramatic purposes.

Cheerio,

That robot arm thing is ringing bells, did you do something similar in the past?

hehe thx peeps, i only started to do comemrcial work again 6 months ago so i'll need a lot of catching up on techniques and so forth.

Manolo: ur right, changing stuff for dramatic fx :o

Dave: yarr, posted it as a wip months back, good memory i sense in this one :o

Vkotek: yeah, its a bit over the top but the client loved it as an effect, i also tried to keep a waxy feel because the next parts will be more dramatic (open face etc). Making it less human/real = win

Toldaddy: yeah, heavy displacement and custom texture, had some probs with the wideness/deepness but the frontal animation is working very well. i need more practise with displacement though

OMG you do work ?! ^_^

Looking good tek. For some reason number 3 stands out. I like the clarity and the fun style. Number two looks a bit spooky the way its "cut" off. :) I also dig the metal flower although i do agree the cracks look very wide. Do you have an animation of it growing?

wow... Love the jumbo arm for the small syringe (spelling). Really creative stuff, and the white kind of gives it a HalfLife portal type feel.. Very impressive..
