Hi guys and girls.

So I finally have the final render ready.

Big thanks to everyone that's helped out in one way or another.

I'm keen to get any final comments and crits from you guys. I may do 1 final 4k render.

I see what you mean with the volumetric lighting...

I love it, personally, but I think it's maybe a smidge too 'hazy'. I preferred it with the single light source (window). But, I guess these things are personal and wouldn't be worth tweaking for a final render :)

It has potential..
- I like the wall and floor textures
- floor boards too wide?
- will agree lighting too hazy/bland, liked the lighting in your wip more, could push the volume light, add dust as mentioned
- composition lacking (more on this later), but no point of interest. Vines stick out and i think "what is that", perhaps add more vines growing around the room on the walls.

Also at the moment the vines remind me of this lol:

I love it , it's nice , but somehow I feel like it's meaningless , nothing is in the focus .
Something is missing from the center of that room.
Maybe the owner ?

Edit : Anyway , 10 from me .

I love the atmosphere you create here. Personally, I prefer without character.
How do you proceed for this cg ? You draw and you make ? Where do you find ideas ?

thanks.

I dont know where i get the ideas from. Just come up with them. Once I've decided on the scene i want to create, i just source loads of reference images and work from them pulling different elements from each iamge

the character's almost there. he's floating at the mo and his general shade is too light/bright and flat, to make his sit better or to ancor him better his immediate environment where he's sitting needs contract adjusting too. (ie, a dark shadow under his arse and feet)

This is really nice Rob! The only thing I see that bothers me is for the amount of haze in the room and the intensity of the light hitting the floor I think there would be more of a focused beam of light between the window and the floor.

Well it's start to get meaning , I'd personally put em to that hole in the center . But who am I , to fuck up your idea and concept ? So if you imagined it as an interior , than better not to listen to me ...

Looking good! I think some tweaking is needed here and there to really improve the scene ( for example the hole in the roof and cabling hanging up there looks too artificial, not feeling the window-frame/surround at all, and probably more broad specular reflection picking up on some of the textured wall/floor sections.. ). The character adds almost a purpose to the whole scene but again needs some tweaking. Get some godrays/dust pointing in his general direction :)
