A small film i made about Myanmar
show user profile  soontekk
As some of u might know i joined a group of surgeons on a mission to Myanmar and i made a small film about the experience. It will be used to promote their work.
It will be shown during a fundraising event next week where some of my photographs will be auctioned for the cause.

Still get goosebumps everytime i watch it :)

Fantastic ! I love the hospital part. How did you get a permission to go inside, specially when in an operation theater.

I really smiled from around 49-51 seconds when the 2 ladies kept walking and looking back.

Well done on the overall output. Was this for some NGO.

What lens did you use.

Cheers mate, i really love the cheerfull feeling that emits from the film.
The organisation is an NGO indeed:http://www.seeandsmile.com
Not easy dealing with the kind of things we saw there.

I was a part of the team so i was wearing the same sterile clothing as the surgeons.
I also can't touch anything or anyone which is not easy with all these people running around :)

Lenses used: 50mm 1.4, 24-105 kit, 15mm 2.8 fisheye, 70-200mm 2.8 is ii, 16-35mm 2.8

Thanks for the inputs. I really can understand the feeling / emotion being among these needy people in such conditions. I am glad there are NGO's like See and Smile working for the betterment and helping people in need.

Nice set of lenses those :D

Brilliant stuf Mr Tekk sir !! As you said, its got a very positive feel to it, hard to do in what looks like a heart wrenching place. Shows off the whole project nicely and its great to see that all is not lost with humanity. Bet it feels good to have done your bit to bring happiness into these peoples lives. :)

Tyvm mr Mashmeister ;)

Cheers Girish, nice video indeed.

I plan to do more of these adventures and this time with an added goal to shoot a documentary instead of just shooting some random shots.

Soon i'll know where i'll be headed: Myanmar, Burundi or Madagascar are possibilities.

Very nice work man, I take great issue with the use of Coldplay... though that's a personal nag :)
