A new one (Relax in the Unwrap)
show user profile  Dave
Had this problem for a few days now and can't quite work out the root cause.

In this one scene I have, when I do a relax on unwrapped shells the selection seems to just disappear (I think it scales down, reeeaaally small). I've done all sorts to try and fix this, snapshot (delete original), reset xforms, merge into new scene... but the problem always seems to creep back in.

The only thing left to try is to just do an export and re-import it, which I'm a little hesitant to do as I will at some point need to bring other data back in (rig, specifically)... which for all I know could be the problem anyway.

So.. yeah, while I go and do that... I was just wondering if anyone else has had this before? If not... feel free to go OT.. OTT? ... Just do whatever.

Fixed! It was my mesh normals... they were b0rked. I also realised that my "clean normals" function in the "Daily Grind Toolset" did not do what it says on the tin... soo, fixed that too. FUN
