3ds max: biped walk without hand movements

hi all,

my model has only legs no hands. now i want to ask, is it possible to make a biped walk without its hand movements.

currently, the hands are interfering with the body. i don't want hands. if i remove the hands from skin modifier the model get weird.

pls help.

well have you skinned your hands to something now that you have removed its bones?

hi donvella,

i solved my problem. for the solution, i added all the bones except hand bones to the model and i got the solution.

i would like to ask you one more question here, if you would be kind enough to answer it, is it possible to edit the biped? what i want to ask is, if my model has legs pretty far from each other and the legs of biped doesn't match my model legs, in that scenario is it possible to move the legs of the biped away from each other and onto the legs of my biped?

Never used biped, when I started a couple of years ago it was already outdated by CAT. I recommend you delete your biped and make a CAT rig instead.

With CAT you can edit the length, width, depth and position of leg (or arm) bones, copy them, and paste those settings to the other leg (or arm). If you decide to use CAT and get stuck doing this, just ask and I'll post some pics explaining this step.
