3DS Max 2016 Installation Error Message
show user profile  Landia
Hello. Need some help on installing 3DS Max 2016 on Windows 10. During the beginning of the installation, the error message is:

An Internet connection is required to install a Windows components. Please connect and re-launch the installer.

My wireless internet connection is fine as I am posting a new thread in this forum. I even tried to use the ethernet cable for direct connection and I am still getting the same error message.

Anyone know why I am getting the Internet connection error message? I was going to insert an image of the error message but don't know how. Also, in Windows 10, there is no Internet Explorer anymore and only Microsoft Edge internet browser.

Thanks for any advice!

I've found that Internet Explorer is the only browser that works for installing max. At least for me.
I've run into this every year.
You could try this:

It uses components of IE for the licensing. A couple of those little windows that pop up are IE windows.

I was able to solved my installation issue by Enabled the .Net Framework. I was turned OFF.
