3Ds Max 2012 Design doesn't open up(keeps minimized)

[SOLVED!]
I'm having this weird problem with 3Ds Max, when I launch it, it shows the splash screen, but when it should open up, it stays minimized.
I can see the program in the toolbar preview of Windows 7, but I cannot maximize it. It just stays there no matter how I click it.
I've tried restarting my PC, reinstalling and repairing 3Ds Max and installing newest GPU drivers, but nothing helps.
The program starts fine without any errors, but stays minimzed.

Any ideas what I could try?

Did you at one time have two monitors setup on your computer?

If so, when you hoverover the preview right click and select move, hit alt+enter and then with the arrow keys you should be able to move the window into your primary monitor. I think it also locks onto the mouse so you could just try and move your mouse cursor.

I haven't had two monitor setup, nor didn't the moving trick work, but I just happened to find the designated maximize button, which made the 3Ds Max appear!

It's so weird that it wouldn't maximize, or react in any way with left-click. I haven't used that right-click menu for other than quitting the application since Windows 95!
Also it amazes me how restarting or reinstalling didn't do anything either...
Thank you, I can now continue my work!

I have this once is a while and the only way I can get round it is to press ctrl+ alt + delete and then select "switch to" 3ds MAX.
bit of a long way round.
