i am working on some models and was going to see if i could set the client up with a viewer for him to be able to view the model and rotate and such. i have seen a few different ones such as sketchfab but I would like to have it so that the model isn't open to the public like sketchfab. and it is an architecture so would also like to be able to turn of different floors so you can see the floors below it. this is not a paid job, so free is the best option. hopefully, this might lead to a few paid jobs though. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks
Phil

Displaying a 3d mesh is pretty simple with three.js. Otherwise, for more complex stuff use webgl, but it surely requires some pretty advanced programming skills.

i thought there was one called turn table or something like that. I think Grotey used it for a few of his projects. i looked on his site and he is using another one called wild pockets. i'm going to look into that one. you can program it to do things like grotey has it open the canopy. i'm going to give it a try.

npcph,

Have you heard of P3D.in ? Its a tool that does exactly as you described. Its designed for private or public browser based model viewing. Its a great tool, simple and cant beat the price(free! - mostly).

Its a great tool, lots of options for privacy and embedding etc... Check out the FAQ's here(http://p3d.in/faq
) for more info.

P.S. p3D may be the brain child of one of our fellow maxforum patriots, so do have a look and support our community when possible!

Good Luck!

thanks for the suggestion. But these are are renders that the owner doesn't want released. so the fact that they can distribute them how ever they want is an issue. thanks anyways
