Bearing in mind that it will only run on Windows NT, and you'd need a computer with a serial port, for the dongle.

"Warez are any form of pirated/cracked software. Discussion of these and anything to do with these is not acceptable and this topic almost always leads to a fight and has no place here."

^I'll just leave that here just in case.

I do not have a copy, and you will be very lucky of you can find one for sale. Even more lucky if you can get it to run.

Why do you need 2.0?

I've been modding a very old game called Blood 2 by Monolith and there's a plugin for 3DSMax 2.0 to edit the ABC model format that the old Lithtech 1.0 game engine uses. This is the one and only way to modify or make models and animations for this old game. Thanks for your reply. And I wish people would wait to do their minority report rule spewing bullcrap before they know where a conversation is going. I'm not dumb and I'm not looking for a free copy. I'd be willing to pay because I'm sure it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg like the latest 3dsmax. Thanks for the help.

My bad. I wish you the best of luck in finding 3ds 2.0

I'm willing to bet it'll be a tough thing to get a hold of though. Have you tried calling AD?

Its cool man. Sorry for the quick attack mode. Its a jungle out here.

I'll give calling them a try. Never really thought of that. Been to their forums and tried contacting them through support but all they want to talk about is the latest software. Maybe actually talking to someone will help. Good tip. Take care.

I've Googled as much as I can, but I can't find anything that will help you.

You could try talking to Autodesk, but I'm afraid that they aren't really interested in old versions these days.

I'll have a look in our cupboard at work, but I'm pretty sure we threw everything old away when we started with floating network licenses.

That's alright vGames. I did assume.

I would also assume that AD will try to sell it to you a 4k perpetual license, haha. Let's talk about this plugin... Is it written in Maxscript? Is there any way to get it working in a newer version of 3ds?

It might pay to look at it that way instead (if you haven't already).

Thanks Nik. See what u find and let me know.

Well 9 the plugin is beyond me. I don't know how it was put together but all I know is that it will not work unless u have 2.0. Many have tried with different old versions of 3dsmax both before and after 2.0. Making a plugin for later versions of 3dsmax that can fully model and animate the old version 6 ABC model format for the very early Lithtech game engine is also beyond me. Honestly I think it would be impossible what with all the strides that have been made in the 3dsmax tech. Backwards compatibility usually means that'll it'll work with versions that date back only so many years. Not over a decade ago.

I'm also afraid that autodesk will try to get me to buy an actual license just to use any of their software no matter how old. I wish they would allow the free use of any of their software unless it was to be used commercially. At least with the software that dates back to the stone age that hasn't been supported in years.

Unfortunately, we threw our old stuff away. I hope AD can help you.

When I posted this, there is only one page of this thread so far.

It was just some kind of weird glitch with my windows phone.

thanks for looking for me. I'll keep the search on and I'll give AD a call. Hopefully something will come through. Take care guys. And if you're ever in the mood to play Blood 2 check out my mod here:
