3d Max History Options
show user profile  tileboy
One of the things I really liked about Photoshop was having the history panel open to see how a design looks at different stages, or using different design options. This panel let you take snapshots to view a design at any point, which was great for comparison purposes, and then save your design from any snapshot depending on which one you liked best. Does 3d Max have anything like this?

Well you can right click the undo/redo buttons to see the history and save a separate file for each stage ...?

I think what you probably want is incremental saves. It's an option in the Customise > Preferences area... can't remember which tab... probably "Files". This will save a new version of the file every time you save it (auto-saves will not create new files) and number it sequentially... ie "Maxfile_003.max"

"I flew over Egypt once"

Oh well, maybe the next generation of 3d max will have it.
