360 interactive viewer
show user profile  PS3D
A client has asked me if i could provide a 360 degree interactive file of a proposed building.
It would be external only. But it would allow people to view the building from anywhere around the model.

Anyone have experience of doing this, and what 3d viewing software I would need?

Cheers.

Cheers Nik! Yeah thats the sort of thing I was after.

I presume it is free to upload to?

I will have a play about and see what it's like.

Cheers!

There are free accounts, I have one with a few tests on there. I don't know a whole lot about the work flow. I presume you will have to bake textures, but I could be wrong. I know it's got new lighting modes recently.

Let us know how you get on!

Yup, you have to bake textures for best results, I use it a lot, you need to pay for private links otherwise the whole world can see your models, think it's around $15 a month.

I'd like to see a small "per-model" price for private links, can' t really justify paying so much annually for a feature I only need on specific client models.

I think baking is not must what i remember, because first and last time i used sketchfab i used .3ds put all the textures in same folder and zipped it then uploaded.

https://skfb.ly/BT9S it is the thing i was testing on free account

Nik the link you have shared is made made by you?

Marmoset is also coming out with a viewer that may be worth a look. I assume the visual fidelity will be a bit higher than sketchfab.
