I'm sorry to say it mate, but i'm disappointed. Bolts will not be happy!

The modelling looks reasonably good (to me) but you havent really done your homework on materials/lighting imho.

Sorry mate.

edit/ Back to front texture maps too. :(

yeah, this is my first go at texturing and lighting. I know I need much more work on it. Where was the most profound learning resource for texturing and lighting (I am sure it was just experience and the internet) for all of you? I'll do more tuts before I attempt another project, just so I can get it done right. I might come back to this and redo the lighting and the texture after I am more preped and learned.

Mathias- Yes, a really crappy one (really crappy).

I'd definately come back to it mate. You've had a lot of help and put a lot of work into the modelling, it'd be a real shame not to.

Even standard car paint mats (max 9 or later) and a better lighting setup would help a lot.

I want more! :)

Oh, please, please don't stop there. It's starting to look really good but it needs more work. More details and a better render.

Just call it a WIP then keep working on it ... like the model ... not crazy about the texturing .

I agree with the others... maybe one of those scenes you go back and rerender at a later date :)
Good model!
