Just thought I'd post a remembrance thread for that awful day ten years ago.
It's incredible to think it was that long ago, still feels relatively recent.

My thoughts go out to anyone affected my those acts of terrorism and I hope no maxforumers were personally affected.

Lets hope nothing ever happens like this again.

Please do not turn this thread into a political debate or conspiracy theory discussion. It's a thread to remember the people that died, both the office workers and emergency workers alike.

Rest In Peace.

> Lets hope nothing ever happens like this again.

it does, almost every day, just not in america.

it was a terrible thing to do & there is no justification but there is still significant suffering in somalia, syria, etc.

RIP & thoughts with those suffering today.

Agree with As there.
Wealthy countries robbed Libya and brought sufferings to the country that are a lot more then that 9|11 day.
But really nobody cares.

Anyway that day was horrible.
So lets those who died be in the better place and those who did it burn in hell forever.

Fucking thing.
I remember vividly the day it happened.

@Grotey: Mike, check your spelling! As much as I love english humor, your r.i.p is kind of... funny.

R.I.P. the 2976 Americans that lost their lives on September 11th 2001.
And R.I.P. the 48,644 Afghan and 1,690,903 Iraqi people who had to pay the ultimate price for someone elses crime.

Firstly, I pay my respects to all those who lost their lives. Those men, women and children who needlessly died, and those men and women who have given their own lives to try to save many of the victims that day. I also pay my respects to the men and women who sacrificed themselves to our military to continue to provide us the freedoms we have today, even though some of those freedoms have been hindered due to shortsightedness by our current and previous leaders. Despite all our current shortcomings, we are still a strong and proud nation and I am proud to be a part of it.

Secondly, as part of coping with such losses, some people find solace in humor.

Remember it as if it was yesterday. And all the news sites were clogged so it was actually on Maxforums where I got the updates on what was going on.

I still remember that day really vividly. I was watching TV when the second plane hit. Then the word of the plane crash in pa and the other one hitting the pentagon. It was an unreal feeling. Not knowing where another plane was going to strike.

The loss of life is a terrible thing anywhere it happens. I have a good friend who's brother lost his best friend in one of the towers.

War is never a good thing and all we can hope for is it will end soon on all fronts.

Respect to all the lives lost. Not only for the tragedy of 9/11, but all the conflicts and needless violence it has caused in the past decade.
